NGO D.A.V Educational and Welfare Society is involved in various youth women and community Welfare activities like vocational, educational and awareness programmes funded by various departments for the welfare and upliftment of the public in the poor locality of North West Delhi particularly in Mangolpuri, Sultan Puri and adjoining areas.
At present the following Training and Vocational Training Programmes are being run by the Society:
Computer Training, Cutting Tailoring and Embroidery, Beauty Culture and Mehandi, Jewellery Making, Screen Printing & Book Binding, Recreation Centre for Senior Citizens, Night Shelters, Tuition for 6th to 9th Class, Vocational training for Electrician, Mobile Repairing, Plumber & more...
The Society has taken up Health Programs also. Dots Centre and immunization Program for Children, HIV/AIDS, LEPROSY. OPD for Senior Citizens at Sultanpuri & General OPD in Kirari have been started.
The Society is also taking up Awareness Programmes with the help of various Department of Govt. like Self Defence, Consumer Awareness, Road Safety and Crime against Women. The main objective of the society is to improve the economic status of the people of the resettlement colony. After taking Training from the Institute, the Women start working at home or they get in some jobs and provide better education to their wards for their better career and also change their standard of living.
The society wish to empower women in Education, Social Welfare, Self Employment and other development at their doorstep. The Society also wish to provide better facility to all the population of the slum / resettlement colonies especially to the women and girls and also to provide Medicines, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, ENT and Eye specialists supported with Pathological Tests and Radiological diagnostic facilities. We requested the worthy people, public departments and all government agencies to help us in our mission.
